LE PIGEONNIER lies off the road between Monsegur and Duras, commanding beautiful views across the valley of the Dropt and enjoys the much forgotten pleasures which accompany this rural setting such as the cuckoo, hoopoo, butterflies and the meadow life. Whichever way you turn from the Pigeonneir, you will see vineyards orchards of peaches, nectarines, apples, plums and pears and in the Spring an abundance of asparagus.
The Pigeon Tower sits in the grounds of the owners main house but is set down a level and far enough away from the house to make it very private. It is approached by its own drive. It has one of the most spectacular views across the valley.
The tower sits by the main house swimming pool, which is shared with the owners.
The Pigeon tower has been renovated to a high standard keeping the original features whilst enhancing its charm and natural beauty. It is an ideal romantic haven for a tranquil break.
When entering the property you approach an opened plan living area with a fully fitted kitchen and a separate dining area.
Adjacent is a seating area placed around an open fireplace. There is a TV, DVD player and Freeview box allowing you to access the standard UK channels. There is also wifi Internet access.
From this room double doors open out onto the terrace with the most spectacular panoramic view across the Dropt valley.
Walking up the stairs you will pass a fascinating piece of history, which we have carefully restored, a World War II carving etched by a revolutionary hiding out in the tower.
